Moving Tips - Who's moving
your furniture?
When Moving you should focus upon the
quality of labor employed by the company employed to move
your goods. Of utmost importance to the moving process will
be the persons who are in charge of physically moving your
goods. These will be the people who carry the goods out
of your old home and into your new one. While you may have
taken precautions to ensure your moving company is properly
licensed and insured, this does not offer any guarantees
as to the quality of the labor which will show up on move
day.
A central part of a smooth moving experience will be to
establish the following four criterion when selecting a
moving company. First, be certain to ask whether all of
the men have been back ground checked. This will ensure
you do not have any criminals or felons in your home handling
your goods. Also, ask your salesmen whether the men handling
your furniture have been drug tested. Asking these two questions
minimizes the likelihood of thieves or unscrupulous persons
being on your moving crew. You should also ask whether or
not the men will be uniformed.
Companies with reliable track records are often proud to
have their logo prominently displayed. If the men do not
wear uniforms you should wonder if the company has something
to hide, or whether the employee is someone who only works
part time for several moving companies. Uniforms convey
professionalism and questions should arise if they are not
used.
Finally, ask whether or not the movers and packers have
undergone any independent certification courses. For instance,
all of Sunset Moving & Storages men have taken
Atlas certification courses. This ensures all of our men
live up to the high standards set by Sunset Moving &
Storage
